November and December are by far the most popular months for gifting. We are in the holiday spirit, and commercials are inescapable. While gifting at the end of the year is wonderful, your gift may get lost in the holiday shuffle and not leave the impact that you intended. So, instead of focusing all of your efforts (and budget) on an end-of-year gift, consider how you can use promotional products and gifting for year-round impact.
In this post, we share three strategies for bringing promotional products into your gifting strategy for year-round impact. Scroll to the bottom to see a calendar of popular events to honor or celebrate.
Use your own organization or industry calendar to create gifting opportunities that stand out.
Most industries have national days you can use for inspiration, and also look at your organization calendar for notable occasions.
Here are examples of organization dates.
- School systems: Acknowledge back-to-school or the end of the school year for faculty and staff. If the school has to undergo particularly challenging training or accreditation, a gift would be a great way to acknowledge everyone’s efforts.
- Manufacturing companies: Reward employees for meeting safety goals.
- Healthcare organizations: Acknowledge health initiatives, accreditation efforts, or fundraising goals for new equipment
- Any organization: family fun days, all-hands meetings, cross-departmental meetings, etc.
Use national days to create a fun and memorable experience for your clients or employees!
In each email newsletter, we include a list of fun “holidays” for the following month, so if this idea is intriguing, then you’ll want to get on our list.
Some of our favorite holidays and national days to celebrate are at the bottom of this post. We especially love food holidays for easy celebrations, but be sure to think about your team and choose something that will resonate with them.
Finally, we love to acknowledge the seasons of the year.
It’s fun to express your brand through products that complement your branding without being directly related. Here are some of our favorite products for different seasons that will feel timely and fresh.
Winter: cozy blankets, outerwear, coffee mugs, or this really cool tabletop heater
Spring: seed bombs, picnic blankets, or this garden set
Summer: beach towel, water bottle, t-shirts, or this outdoor speaker
Fall: backpacks, hammocks, or these campfire sticks
Look at your calendar for the year and see how you can fit in fun and gifting in each season. Balance larger events with smaller events and professional events with fun events.
