Cherry Oil Company was founded in 1928 by Guy T. Cherry.  Today the company is run by his grandson, Jay P. Cherry, Jr, and many additional family members work within the company.  Since 1928, Cherry Oil has acquired four additional fuel and/or propane companies and changed its name to Cherry Energy to better represent the wide range of products and services that they offer.

Cherry Energy offers residential/commercial/agricultural propane and fuel delivery and related services. We have worked with Cherry Energy since 2004!  Caroline recently interviewed Maggie Cherry, Controller, to discuss how Cherry Energy has evolved through the years, and how they enjoy using promotional products to market their business.

Caroline: What is your most-used or favorite promotional product, and what is the logo/organization on it? (whether it’s a product you purchased from us or not)

Maggie: My most used promo item hands-down is my International Farming Corporation Yeti tumbler.  It is from my former employee that is also a CCM client!

Caroline: We have worked together since 2004!  What stands out as being the most popular promotional product you have used since working with CCM, and how did you use it? Is there one specific item that people just can’t stop talking about?

Maggie: Definitely our wall calendars and the small sticky calendars.  Our pens also disappear pretty quickly!

Caroline: Why do you think the calendars are so effective?

Maggie: I think that people still love to hold a paper calendar or planner.  Everything is so tech-y these days and some people still love a good old-fashioned calendar that you hang in your office, workshop, or wherever your heart desires. It is nice to see your entire month’s plans on one page with a scenic picture to boot!

Caroline: That is so funny, because I have literally been at a stoplight, and seen one of your sticky calendars stuck to someone’s dash in their car!  Talk about visibility!

Maggie:  Me too!  They are a huge hit, and we love that it’s a handy product for people, and our contact information is right there when they need it.

Caroline: What are you enjoying in 2021?  Professionally and/or personally. 

Maggie: Personally – Traveling!  Professionally – Serving our customers and keeping them happy.  Our service department technicians are Rinnai and Generac certified.  They worked hard for those accreditations, and we are very proud of them!
